Shrinkage Scale & Template
Shrinkage is the change in dimensions of any fabrics or garments after laundering or dry-cleaning.
Shrinkage scale template consists of a fine calibrated shrinkage template which is used to mark fabric with 254mm (10 inches) bench-marks for accurately determining change in fabrics or garments. After the fabric or garment is laundered, dry-cleaned or washed, the dimensional change can be read directly & accurately in percentage (%) change with the calibrated shrinkage scale. The shrinkage scale evaluates shrinkage up to 20% & stretch up to 10%. A sturdy handle helps mark on any type of fabric with ease.

Shrinkage calculation:
Shrinkage % = (length of fabric before wash - length of fabric after wash) / length of fabric before wash x 100%
For example:
length of fabric before wash = 35 cm
length of fabric after wash = 33 cm
Shrinkage % = (35-33) / 33 x 100% = 5.7%
Normally shrinkage is acceptable less than 5%
